First birthday cake smash! Quinlee's sad tears were quickly over when it came time to bite into her cake! Before then, she wasn't too sure about being in front of the camera while mom stood by trying to get her to laugh. With a little patience and cake, she ended up having a great time! Special thanks to her mom for bringing the details for the set up; birthday banner, bubble necklace, light up letters, and cake! 🙂
It is always an honor to photograph milestones, especially when awaiting the arrival of a new baby. This amazing couple is ready to welcome their new baby boy, due to arrive any day now! I am so glad that they decided to do a maternity session so they can look back and re-live those tender, lovely moments of wonder and anticipation. And to think that they almost didn't schedule a session because it was so close to their due date! But doesn't she look amazing and absolutely glowing?!
When in doubt, book the session. Always book the session! 🙂
We got up super early to get these shots way back in early November in Utah....sooo cold, but sooo worth it! I feel so honored to have been a part of this maternity session. Mom went back and forth between doing one and not doing one because of how insecure she felt about being in front of the camera, especially while pregnant. I am so glad she went through with it! She looks absolutely stunning!
I can't tell you how many times I have parents tell me that they have put off doing family portraits because of their young children. They are "too out of control," they say. Or "it's impossible to get them to cooperate..."
As a mother of 7, I totally understand! But I'm going to let you all know that it IS worth it, so just go for it and get your pictures done! I promise you that we WILL get some great shots and that the process WILL be quick and relatively painless! To be honest, I enjoy a challenge and am often the ONLY one sweating buckets during your session not because I am worried or nervous, but because I am the one running around after your toddlers, chasing them and playing games with them! And the best part is that is one of my favorite parts of this job!
